The group is holding daily practices from Monday to Friday at 8:30am to 10:30am, Saturday at 6:30pm to 9:30pm and Sunday at 2pm to 6pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
The NMBF is also a member of the Northern Marianas Amateur Sports Association.
Badminton is played in more than 150 countries worldwide. There are also badminton federations in the Pacific island nations of Nauru, Fiji, the Cook Islands, the Norfolk Islands and Samoa.Palau, through the Palau Paradise Lions Club, organizes open badminton doubles tournament.
The International Badminton Federation also recently adopted the rally point system, which makes matches faster.
Badminton is popular in Asia and Europe today. It became a full competition sport at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Badminton is also one of the 31 sports being considered for the 13th Pacific Games in 2007 in Apia, Samoa.
